We will be at the Sewing and Stitchery Expo in Puyallup WA on February 25 - 28.

We gave been busy sewing, packing, sewing, checking lists, more sewing for the Puyallup show.  We have the same booth space as we did last year - in the ShowPlex building booth numbers 1000, 1002, 1004 and 1006 - they are all connected and give us a nice block

Hope to see some of you there.  But if not, please feel free to post questions.  As always Gayle or someone will take pictures and try and keep us all posted as to what is going on, what was worn, what the booth looks like and other adventures of interest.

Kat has been working on a draft of a "short cape" - I jokingly called it the Sherlock (it looks like the cape part of a coat).  Kat and Laura made one for Kat out of black and I walked into my office today to find a "Denise Looking" one!

It is a periwinkle color AND embellished with beads.   I have it on now and it is PERFECT for wearing around the office (instead of my old sweater).

When we get pictures, we will post for you all to see!

We are planning on having "chat" sessions starting this Friday, December 11 going through January 5, 2010.  This will allow you to see more of the software, tools, and tips and tricks.  As we have more information, on the subject, date, time and how to join - we will post more information.

Thank you!

I know, I hear you, you want PICTURES (some of you even e-mailed me) - I will try and post more today!

But, thought you would be interested in finding out "other things" that went on at the show...

Everyone manning the booth, wore clothing made with our product.  A lot of people did come up to us and asked questions, looked, felt and even inspected hems, seams etc.

One of our volunteer models (local to Detroit), the one wearing the Medieval costume, loved being in the fashion show and getting "a good fit" so much she has joined our forum and is considering buying the product - currently she is a beginning sewer, so we are excited!

Kat's class, Customized Pressing Forms, was well attended and her feed back was positive.  Some of the feedback given was:

"I learned something new that I can now apply"
"Course satisfied my needs by providing valuable information"
"The course was better than the advertised description"
"Instructor was knowledgeable and friendly"
"A professional way to look at body forms"

And, the fashion show was a big hit, Yes, I promise to post pictures!

This week some of our team is attending the Novi Sewing and Expo show.  Besides having a booth, we will be presenting a fashion show.  I've attached some of those pictures for you to see.

This is one of our new Purse Patterns that our Seam Team is testing.  Creative group they are, this team member used fabric from an old windbreaker and an old Tommy Hilfiger shirt.

One of the garments for the Novi show is a princess arm hole dress in a medieval form - long, LOTS of hem and dagged sleeves.

This is the banded dagged sleeve with the band sewn out of lace. The person wearing the gown is not the actual person that will be wearing it - just a close approximation so we could take a few pictures.
